Gym Exercise Equipment

I have just bought a home treadmill and was wondering if a cheaper home quality treadmill with be as good as the treadmill in the Gym.

Will the expensive equipment at the gym make me lose weight faster because they are a better machine?

I try to do squats/deadlifts with a trap bar because i have one at home and its easy if i dont feel like going to the gym (doesnt take up as much space as a full bar too)
