Quick, easy and fun fitness routine?

i am currently living in a boarding house and want to just build up my fitness. i used to swim competitively so i have a little bit of fitness but i just want to be able to tone up a bit and keep my fitness up over the winter break.
basically i haven’t got any equipment such as weights or skipping ropes and stuff so i was hoping for some pointers for cardio (other than running because i cant run very far or cycling because i haven’t got a bike here) and some help in making the routine fun so i keep at it for more than just a week. It also has to be a shortish routine, no longer than 30 mins.
so far im planning on doing sit-ups, push-ups and variations of the two, squats and lunges, maybe just jumping up and down like if i was skipping just without a rope and splits (slash learning to do splits) for flexibility.
so guys, any pointers would be great especially ones on making me stick to the program because honestly im the worst at keeping with things
thanks everyone

Is it a good or bad idea to put excercise equipment?

on a wedding registry?
I had thought of it, but figured it was tacky or something, but then going through an online registry checklist, it listed various excercise stuff. Would you (or have you) added such stuff to your registry or not?
Excercise equipment to fit my needs?

I ain’t big on running and I don’t have much upper body strengh making it hard to do press ups/sit ups ect.
What’s the best sorta stuff to help lose weight off the belly (that flabby bit just under the belly button) and upper arms? and just weight in general.
I was thinking of geting one of them skipping ropes that counts how many calories you use and stuff, and also one of them resistance bands.. What you think?
How do you know what is the best type of fitness equipment and the best place to buy it from?

I like the bowflex commercials and so forth for example. Plus the pilates gym stuff looks good and then the treadmill or cycles look good. I see them for sale everywhere! Qvc has some of the same products as advertised on the products own webpage for example. So where is the best place or store to buy equipment from? I see many at Wal-Mart, Sears, online… everywhere. I want one for strength training/toning and one for cardio. I don’t want to spend a fortune, but I want to invest in something that will last and give me good results.
